Monitor daily sterilization activities of the Brooklyn office, within guidelines, including the sterilization of instrument cassettes, bur blocks, endofile boxes and handpieces. Examine clinical hand pieces to ensure they are properly maintained after each use (purging and lubrication of each unit) and ensure compliance with all workflow and infection control policies and procedures. Periodically inspect quality of instrument cassettes and report any deficiencies to the Director. Track dental instruments through all phases of the cleaning and sterilization process by utilizing scanning technology. Sterilize instruments, operate autoclave, and perform routine maintenance on a variety of small dental equipment (disassemble, clean, reassemble, store). Maintain inventory, assist with ordering supplies, stock medical disposable goods in storage areas, and ensure the Brooklyn office has all necessary materials). Answer telephones; respond to requests from internal and external customers.
In compliance with NYC's Pay Transparency Act, the hourly rate for this position is USD $34.829. This rate is based on bargaining unit contracts. This pay range represents base pay only and excludes any additional items such as incentives, bonuses, clinical compensation, or other items.
