Rehabilitation & Correction - Pickaway Correctional Institution in Orient, OH is seeking a Stationary Engineer 2 to lead powerhouse operations, maintain boilers and related systems, and ensure safe, compliant performance. The role emphasizes reliability, detailed logs, and security responsibilities within a correctional setting.

The position requires a Stationary Steam Engineer license and at least 6 months of licensed experience, with eligibility for union membership and full-time hours.

Qualifikationen

• Stationary Steam Engineer License pursuant to Section 4104.19.
• 6 mos. exp. as licensed stationary engineer.

Aufgaben

• Serve as lead worker over lower-level powerhouse workers and/or inmates in installation, repair, maintenance and operation of powerhouse equipment.
• Make rounds reading gauges, adjust equipment and observe operation.
• Start, stop and change over-generating equipment as needed.
• Keep logs and recording gauge readings, fuel consumed and power generated.
• Maintain time cards and related records.
• Maintain security of inmates.
• Maintain parts inventory and order parts.
• Oversee and/or perform maintenance around powerhouse.
• Perform annual boiler inspection and maintenance.
• Serve on institutional committees.
• Attend training, seminars or meetings as required.
• Perform security functions as required.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
