Job summary

Solcoa Industries seeks a lead mechanical engineer to drive the design of modular high-temperature reactors. You will validate performance through calculations, simulations, and instrumented testing, while guiding the team and cross-functional decisions.

You will simplify designs for manufacturing and maintenance, lead prototyping and commissioning, and work in a fast-paced environment with hands-on machining and vacuum hardware experience.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in Fusion CAD.
• Hands-on metal machining and shop-tools experience.
• Experience with high-temperature systems and/or vacuum hardware.
• Precise execution.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
• Availability to start soon.
• Chemistry or physics coursework or experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead the mechanical and thermal design of modular high-temperature reactors, validating performance and reliability through calculations, simulations, and instrumented testing.
• Simplify designs for manufacturing and maintenance; lead prototyping and commissioning.
• Guide the mechanical engineering team and cross-functional design decisions.
