Job summary

Red Canyon Engineering & Software in Westminster, CO seeks a Senior Navigation Engineer to lead spacecraft navigation across all mission phases and support flight operations, OD, and anomaly response. You will develop advanced Kalman filter configurations for complex regimes and mentor junior engineers.

Ideal candidates have 8–12 years in navigation, a relevant bachelor's degree, and proven ability to design and adapt filters while coordinating with vendors and partners.

Qualifications

• 8–12 years in spacecraft navigation or flight dynamics.
• Bachelor's degree in aerospace/system engineering.
• Proven OD campaigns leadership and test/validate filters.

Responsibilities

• Lead spacecraft navigation for all mission phases and operations.
• Develop and validate Kalman filter configurations for multiple regimes.
• Coordinate navigation with flight ops, OD, and anomaly response.
• Define navigation concepts and participate in reviews and trades.
• Mentor junior navigation engineers and drive best practices.
