Job summary

Northrop Grumman Space Sector seeks a Principal Engineer (Level 3) to join our team in Dulles or Chantilly, VA. This 100% onsite role supports Space Superiority and Warfighting programs with milestone-driven analysis and national security clearances.

The ideal candidate will have a strong systems engineering background, experience with cross-disciplinary teams, and proficiency in modeling tools like Python/MATLAB. Relocation assistance may be available; travel up to 10% is expected.

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Government Top-Secret security clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree with 5+ years, Master's with 3+, or PhD with 1+ year of professional experience.
• Experience in systems engineering: architecture studies, requirements & interface management, hardware/software integration, mission planning and execution.

Responsibilities

• Support major program milestones and readiness reviews with technical content and stakeholder presentations.
• Contribute to program data products and vital deliverables.
• Model mission-level elements with mission partners and create DRMs.
• Perform analyses such as propellant budgets, on-orbit fuel needs, RF link budgets, and mission lifetime estimates.
• Develop analysis tools as required; manage requirements and interfaces.
