Job summary

CA CI International Inc. seeks a Software Project Lead Engineer to guide embedded software development for space vehicle avionics.

You will prototype, design, develop, test and certify flight software, leading cross-functional teams within NASA Johnson Space Center programs. Requirements include a BS in a relevant field, 10+ years in embedded safety-critical software, strong C and Python skills, and proven leadership.

Qualifications

• BS in Aerospace, Electrical, Software, Computer, or Systems Engineering, Computer Science, or related disciplines required.
• At least ten years of embedded software experience in safety-critical domains (aerospace, aviation, or related).
• Experience leading software development teams and technical leadership.
• Strong C programming skills and Linux development experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; ability to handle multiple priorities.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded software prototype and flight software.
• Perform systems engineering for software requirements and interfaces; analyze performance.
• Integrate, test, and verify software; work in avionics test beds and flight certification environments.
• Collaborate with NASA programs and contractors across multiple projects.
• Lead a software development team, prioritize features, engage with customers, and present capabilities.
