Job summary

Qualifications

• Active U.S. Secret clearance
• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Physics, Computer Science, or related field
• 8+ years of experience designing, implementing, and testing multi-target tracking algorithms
• Leadership in tracking algorithm development
• Kalman filtering / state estimation expertise
• MATLAB and/or Python, with transition to C++ for production
• Modeling, simulation, and Monte Carlo analysis
• Strong collaboration and communication skills

Responsibilities

• Lead systems engineering and algorithm development tasks for space and missile defense tracking missions
• Architect and implement advanced object tracking and state estimation algorithms
• Design multi-target tracking and sensor fusion for EO/IR, RF, or hybrid sensors
• Lead data association techniques including JPDA, MHT, nearest neighbor, and track-to-track fusion
• Drive data association innovations and optimizations for complex scenarios
• Develop physics-based models and conduct simulation including Monte Carlo analysis
• Lead performance analysis and V&V planning for tracking robustness
• Transition tracking algorithms from MATLAB/Python to production C/C++ code
• Collaborate with software, systems, and test teams for real-time deployment
• Mentor engineers in tracking algorithm development and state estimation theory
