Job summary

Space Systems Integration in El Segundo, CA is seeking a Chief Space Systems Engineer to lead the integration and overall architecture of space systems for government and commercial customers.

The role requires extensive DoD-space experience, leadership of systems engineering teams, and an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility; polygraph willingness. Target salary range $210,000–$245,000 with health benefits and 401k.

Qualifications

• Experience with space systems development, integration, and operations of DoD or other agencies.
• Experience leading systems engineering teams focused on integration of complex space/ground systems.
• Active TS clearance with in-scope T5/SSBI; SCI eligibility and polygraph willingness.

Responsibilities

• Engages with developers to evaluate software simulators, engineering units, and hardware simulators through integration activities.
• Leads technical requirements development, systems engineering, and oversees the development contractor to design, produce, integrate, and test space systems.
• Oversees payload integration and interface control management.
• Performs system integration of multiple efforts to integrate complex space systems and ground segment deployment.
• Manage and negotiate interface control documents with external stakeholders.
• Performs systems architecting and engineering activities such as requirements definitions, design, data architecture, systems integration, performance and lifecycle cost analysis.
