This program is driving a large-scale transformation of systems into a data-centric, cloud-native ecosystem capable of supporting high-volume, near real-time data processing and advanced analytics. The work includes modernization of legacy applications, development of new cloud-native solutions, and implementation of DevSecOps and scaled Agile practices across the organization.

The core challenge: orchestrating complex, multi-contractor delivery while transforming both technology and operating models without disrupting mission-critical operations.

Position Description

As a Lead Solutions Architect at Revolutional, you will define and drive enterprise solution architecture strategy and governance across a large-scale federal modernization program.

You will work across architecture, engineering, operations, security, and program leadership teams to design and govern scalable, secure, and interoperable solutions spanning applications, integrations, cloud platforms, enterprise data ecosystems, and operational systems.

This role requires someone who can balance long-term architectural vision with operational delivery realities, while establishing architecture standards, modernization roadmaps, and governance practices supporting enterprise transformation initiatives.

  • Define and govern architecture standards, roadmaps, patterns, reference architectures, and modernization strategies
  • Lead Technical Review Boards (TRBs), architecture governance reviews, and development of architecture artifacts and decision documentation
  • Assess legacy and on-premises systems and define modernization and migration roadmaps to cloud-native architectures
  • Design scalable, resilient, highly available, and fault-tolerant solutions supporting enterprise-scale operations and high-volume processing
  • Define and govern multi-cloud architecture strategies including standards for naming, tagging, integration, messaging, and operational governance
  • Design and govern APIs, messaging systems, event-driven architectures, and distributed integration patterns
  • Ensure architectures align with federal security and compliance frameworks including NIST, FedRAMP, ATO processes, Zero Trust, and secure SDLC requirements
  • Enable full lifecycle DevSecOps integration through architecture supporting CI/CD automation, governance, policy enforcement, and operational controls
  • Support Agile and SAFe/scaled Agile delivery environments by coordinating architecture alignment across multiple delivery teams and workstreams
  • Evaluate and select technologies, platforms, and integration approaches aligned with enterprise modernization objectives
  • Mentor architects and engineering teams while promoting architectural consistency, governance, and best practices
Technical Environment
