Job summary

Oak Electric is seeking a Lead Solar Installer (Journeyman Electrician) to oversee solar PV and storage system installations across residential, commercial, and industrial sites. You will lead a skilled team, ensure safety, and drive project timelines while coordinating with cross‑trades.

You will configure battery backup systems, MPUs, and inverters, while interpreting schematics and electrical drawings to execute precise installations. Strong leadership and NEC knowledge are essential.

Qualifications

• Active journeyman electrician license required.
• Deep understanding of NEC for solar PV and energy storage.
• Strong reading of blueprints and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to lead crews and coordinate multiple trades on site.
• Commitment to safety, quality and timelines.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise residential, commercial, and industrial solar installations.
• Install, configure and commission battery backup systems and MPUs.
• Manage high and low voltage connections and inverter configurations.
• Read electrical schematics and blueprints to execute plans.
• Coordinate with other trades and ensure safety and quality inspections.
