Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Advanced in one or more programming languages: Python, ReactJS, etc.
• Advanced in one or more frameworks: Django, FastAPI, etc.
• Experience leading effective use of approved AI-assisted software development tools with QA for correctness, performance, and security.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity and secure handling of outputs.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting with ability to think beyond routine approaches.
• Develops secure production code and reviews/ debugs code written by others.
• Drives team adoption of AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes.
• Applies knowledge of the SDLC toolchain, including AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve automation value.
• Identifies opportunities to eliminate recurring issues to improve overall operational stability of software applications and systems.
• Leads evaluation sessions with external vendors and internal teams to probe architectural designs and applicability for use within existing systems.
