Job summary
Arconic seeks a Lead Software Engineer to join the Kawneer Business in Alpharetta, GA. The role leads by example and directly contributes to software design and delivery while elevating engineering quality, testing, documentation, maintainability, and architecture across internal teams and external partners.
You will mentor developers, promote standards, and champion modern engineering practices, including AI-assisted and agentic development, to deliver secure, reliable, and scalable solutions
Qualifications
- Associate’s degree or 10+ years of progressive software development experience.
- Strong hands-on experience with modern application architecture, APIs, integrations, databases, cloud technologies, testing, and secure development practices.
- Experience mentoring developers and establishing or improving engineering standards, documentation, code review, and quality practices.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design and development of enterprise software solutions, integrations, and manufacturing applications.
- Contribute directly to implementation, troubleshooting, and delivery as a senior hands-on engineer.
- Establish and promote software engineering standards, development practices, documentation, and quality expectations.
- Mentor developers and raise technical capability through demonstration, feedback, knowledge sharing, and code reviews.
- Review architecture, technical designs, implementations, and delivery approaches for quality and consistency.
