Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our Credit Risk Technology team in Houston. You will lead design, development, and enhancement of Credit Risk Reporting platforms using Java and Python, building scalable data pipelines with Databricks and delivering RESTful services.

You will work with cross-functional teams in an Agile environment, ensuring compliance and driving technology improvements within a diverse, collaborative culture.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in Financial Engineering, CS, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field.
• 8+ years of software engineering with Java/Python and SQL.
• Proficiency in Java and Python; strong SQL/PL SQL skills.
• Experience with Databricks and Web/API development (RESTful services, AngularJS, EXT JS).
• RDBMS knowledge (Oracle, SQL Server).
• Ability to learn new technologies quickly; strong analytical/problem-solving skills.

Role Overview:
JPMorgan Chase is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join our Credit Risk Technology team. In this role, you will lead the design, development, and enhancement of Credit Risk Reporting platforms, leveraging modern technologies and best practices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver solutions that ensure compliance, support business objectives, and advance our technology landscape.

Key Responsibilities

• Architect, modernize, and upgrade the Credit Risk technology stack using industry-leading tools and methodologies.
• Design and implement scalable, resilient systems with Java or Python.
• Build and optimize data pipelines and analytics solutions using Databricks to support credit risk reporting and regulatory compliance.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 8+ years of experience insoftware engineering, with demonstrated expertise in Java / Python and SQL.
