Job summary

JPMorgan Chase is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the Asset & Wealth Management Technology team. You will design and deliver trusted, scalable tech products, with opportunities across mobile features, big data insights, payment solutions, and cloud integrations.

You will develop secure production code, contribute to architecture, and drive improvements through data-driven insights in a collaborative agile environment.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of software engineering experience with formal training or certification.
• Advanced Java programming skills.
• Experience with Spring, Hibernate, JMS, Spring Boot.
• Java Core/EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud.
• OOAD and design patterns; debugging and troubleshooting.
• System design, development, testing, and operational stability.
• Experience in large corporate environments with modern languages and SQL/Oracle.
• Knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
• Experience with Sonar, JIRA, GIT, Maven.
• Understanding of CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security.
• Knowledge of cloud, AI/ML, mobile technologies.

• Participates in, design and develop scalable and resilient systems using Java or Python to contribute to continual, iterative improvements for product teams.
• Executes software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Creates secure and high-quality production code and maintains algorithms that run synchronously with appropriate systems.
• Produces or contributes to architecture and design artifacts for applications while ensuring design constraints are met by software code development.
• Gathers, analyzes, synthesizes, and develops visualizations and reporting from large, diverse data sets in service of continuous improvement of software applications and systems.
• Identifies hidden problems and patterns in data and uses these insights to drive improvements to coding hygiene and system architecture.
• Contributes to software engineering communities of practice and events that explore new and emerging technologies.

As an Experienced Software Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within the Asset & Wealth Management Technology team, you will be a key member of an agile team responsible for designing and delivering trusted, market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable manner. Depending on your team assignment, your role may involve developing mobile features to enhance customer and client banking control, strategizing on leveraging big data to accelerate our trading systems, innovating payment solutions for merchants, or supporting the integration of our private and public cloud platforms.

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Advanced coding knowledge in Java programming language
• Strong technical skills Java development including areas such as Spring, Hibernate, JMS, Spring Boot
• Experience in Java (Core & EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud)
• Strong skills around object oriented analysis and design (OOAD),Design principles and Design patterns with ability to trouble shoot and debug an application for any application issues
• Hands-on practical experience in system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages
• Overall knowledge of the Software Development Life Cycle
• Experience working with Sonar, SSAP, JIRA, GIT, Maven etc.
• Understanding of agile methodologies such as CI/CD, Application Resiliency, and Security
• Knowledge of software applications and technical processes within a technical discipline (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
