PANTHERx Rare Pharmacy in Pittsburgh, PA, is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to guide technical strategy across complex systems. You will mentor engineers, shape architecture, and deliver scalable, secure solutions for Panther's applications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum of eight (8) years of software development experience.
• Proficiency in multiple programming languages (C#, SQL, React, WinForms) and frameworks (Azure, ADO, Git, Microservices, Event Hubs, Entity Framework, REST APIs).
• Relational database experience with SQL Server, MySQL or PostgreSQL.
• Extensive experience with cloud platforms (Azure DevOps) and microservices architecture.
• Strong knowledge of Agile methodologies, Scrum, and Git version control.

Responsibilities

• Executes development of complex software systems with a focus on scalability, performance, and security.
• Develops high-quality, maintainable code and conducts thorough code reviews.
• Defines technical requirements with stakeholders and aligns on delivery timelines.
• Mentors and coaches other software engineers.
• Embraces Agile, AI tools, and Scrum/Waterfall frameworks.
• Conducts effective code reviews of others.
• Diagnoses and resolves technical issues to ensure stability and reliability.
• Stays informed on emerging technologies to drive innovation.
• Contributes to strategic planning and technical decision-making.
• Maintains documentation for software solutions and architecture.
• Establishes and enforces best practices for architecture and frameworks.
