Job summary

PlacingIT seeks a Lead Software Engineer / Data Analyst to design, modernize, and migrate mission-critical analytics apps into high-performance web applications. The role is hands-on, with full-stack software engineering, cloud/AWS, APIs, and database experience, in a classified mission environment onsite at Patrick Space Force Base, FL.

The candidate will work with customers, system/cloud engineers, and cybersecurity teams to define requirements and deliver end-to-end technical solutions,

Qualifications

• Active TS/SCI security clearance required.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related technical field with 9+ years of experience; or graduate degree with 7+ years; or 13+ years without a degree.
• Experience building full-stack software applications.
• Experience deploying in AWS/cloud environments.
• Experience with relational and non-relational databases.
• Strong practices: version control, testing, CI/CD, secure development.
• CompTIA Security+ or DoD IAT Level II or able to obtain within 6 months.
• Onsite work at Patrick Space Force Base, Florida.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications (front-end, back-end, APIs, databases).
• Modernize and migrate analytics applications to scalable web apps.
• Develop secure, scalable back-end services, APIs, and workflows.
• Build and maintain applications in AWS with focus on security, scalability, resiliency, cost.
• Collaborate with engineers, cybersecurity, mission stakeholders to meet requirements.
• Work directly with customers to gather feedback and refine functionality.
• Prepare architecture designs, roadmaps, and system documentation.
• Provide technical briefings to stakeholders.
