The Walt Disney Company’s Content Platforms team in Glendale, CA is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to architect and deliver scalable systems powering payments to content creators and rights holders across Disney Movies and TV.

You will blend hands-on technical leadership with strategic influence, collaborating with engineering, product, and finance to meet performance, security, and reliability standards.

Qualifications

• BS in Computer Science or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 7+ years of software engineering with demonstrated leadership on large-scale systems.
• Expertise in Java and Spring with RESTful API design.
• Strong knowledge of asynchronous programming and distributed systems using Kafka.
• Hands-on experience with AWS services (EKS, SQS, RDS, MSK).
• Proficiency in CI/CD and code quality practices.
• Ability to articulate complex concepts and mentor teammates.
• Passion for mentoring and collaborating in diverse environments.
