You will guide an agile team to enhance and deliver market-leading tech products in a secure, scalable manner, applying deep technical expertise across multiple technologies and regions. Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 5+ years of experience.
• Experience leading use of enterprise AI-assisted development tools and setting validation standards.
• Strong understanding of responsible AI usage in engineering workflows and security.
• Strong CS fundamentals: algorithms, data structures, multi-threading, distributed apps.
• 8+ years' Java development experience with Core Java and Spring ecosystems.
• Experience with React, TypeScript, HTML5, and CSS3.
• Relational database development and SQL modeling skills.
• Experience building scalable microservices on AWS.
• Proven analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making abilities.

As a Lead Software Engineer at JPMorganChase within the Asset & Wealth Management, you are an integral part of an agile team that works to enhance, build, and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure, stable, and scalable way. Drive significant business impact through your capabilities and contributions, and apply deep technical expertise and problem-solving methodologies to tackle a diverse array of challenges that span multiple technologies and applications.

Job responsibilities:

• Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
• Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
• Drives adoption and governance of approved AI-assisted engineering practices across teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and operational outcomes (e.g., AI-assisted code review/refactoring, test acceleration, release readiness, incident/root-cause analysis), while establishing measurable validation standards (secure coding, peer review, automated testing) and promoting reuse of proven patterns and automation within the SDLC/TLM toolchain.
• Applies knowledge of tools within the Software Development Life Cycle toolchain, including approved AI-assisted development and automation capabilities, to improve the value realized by automation at scale.
• Optimize back end applications for maximum speed, reliability and scalability
• Collaborate with technical architect and Designers for new products
• Follow and promote Agile practices including Scrum, Lean, BDD and Continuously Delivery
• Research new technologies, identify and learn best practice, adapt quickly and provide technical guidance across the organization
• Work with multiple globally distributed teams to deliver end-to-end solution across regions
• Advise, collaborate with, and synthesize feedback from Wealth Managers and Product Specialist
• Presenting and demoing to users, stakeholders, and technology groups

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills:

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
• Demonstrated experience leading effective use of enterprise-authorized AI-assisted software development tools within the work environment (e.g., for coding, code review, test acceleration, troubleshooting) with the ability to set team expectations for validating AI outputs for correctness, performance, and security
• Strong understanding of responsible AI use in engineering workflows, including data sensitivity considerations, secure handling of inputs/outputs, and adherence to resiliency and security expectations; experience coaching senior engineers/leads on compliant usage patterns and controls.
• Strong computer science fundamentals such as algorithms, data structures, multi-threading, functional programming, distributed applications, client-server architecture
• 8+ years' experience in Java development fluency
• Experience in Core Java & EE, Spring Boot, Spring MVC, Spring Cloud, Spring Flux & Spring Security frameworks
• Experience in Web UI development using ReactJS, TypeScript, Html 5, CSS 3
• Relational Database development skills including SQL and data modelling
• Strong experience building performant, scalable and reliable micro services, including high availability development and architectural practices
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines with designing and building applications natively on AWS, utilizing key services such as AWS Lambda, AWS ECS, S3, Aurora, and API Gateway
• Must possess excellent analytical, problem solving, & decision-making skills.
