Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or closely related field.
  • Master's Degree preferred in related field.
  • 7 years of design/analysis of algorithms, data structures, and design patterns for scalable systems.
  • 5+ years in two modern programming languages (Java, Python, JavaScript, ACE, IIB/ITX, Informatica preferred).
  • 5 years with web services tech (REST/HTTPS/JSON).
  • 5 years with multiple general-purpose languages (Java, Python, C/C++, C#, JavaScript, Go).
  • 5 years defining system architectures and trade-offs for long-term capabilities.

Responsibilities

  • Design and write engineering specifications for software applications.
  • Write code adhering to standards and perform code reviews.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies and assist in sprint planning.
  • Drive story creation, create tasks, and manage status in RTC or Jira.

**JOB SUMMARY**The job is an integral member of an agile software engineer team responsible for building scalable software applications across all digital channels to serve our customers. The position will be responsible for taking an enterprise-wide, architectural view of the solutions and the technical execution of products using the technical stack that best meets the needs of the platform. The position, and team, will be involved in every aspect at part of the software application build process from idea generation, business analysis, technical design and software development using the latest technologies and design patterns. A lead engineer will take a leadership role with other development individuals (engineers, application developers, etc.) to drive and develop products meeting the needs of our clients and product roadmaps.**ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES*** The job is responsible for designing and creating engineering specifications for software applications and programs.* Responsible for designing & writing code that adheres to coding standards. Performs code reviews.* Responsible for idea generation, exploring and implementing appropriate technical solutions to achieve the required product features, as well as monitoring technical process against project plan while safeguarding functionality, scalability and performance.* A part of an agile work team and responsible for participating in all scrum ceremonies, assisting in sprint planning and completing required sprints in the development through final execution of software applications/programs. Communicates any issues/blockers to the Scrum Master in a timely manner.* Drives story creation (i.e. DoD, Acceptance Criteria, estimation).
