Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs in Texas is seeking a licensed social worker to provide comprehensive psychosocial assessments, evidence-based treatments, and case management to veterans within a multidisciplinary team.

This role supports care coordination and is eligible for the Education Debt Reduction Program (EDRP). Applicants must have a CSWE-accredited MSW, state licensure, and demonstrate strong communication and clinical skills.

Qualifications

• Applicants pending completion of educational or certification requirements may be referred and tentatively selected but may not be hired until all requirements are met.
• English language proficiency: must be proficient in spoken and written English.

Responsibilities

• Possesses knowledge of human development and psychosocial treatment.
• Provides evidence-based treatment interventions.
• Participates as a member of a multidisciplinary clinical team.
• Contributes to assessment information and treatment plan development for veterans served by the program.
• Supports continuity of care for veterans recently hospitalized at non-VA facilities.
• Maintains accurate clinical documentation and data management; supports quality improvements.
• Serves as advisor and resource person to staff within the medical center.
• Attends staff meetings and participates in committees as directed.
