Job summary

U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a Social Work Supervisor within the Long Beach Health Care System to oversee the Grant and Per Diem (GPD) program.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Social Work from CSWE-accredited school.
• Licensed or certified by a state to practice social work at advanced practice level.
• Experience demonstrating clinical social work skills and advocacy with community partners.

Responsibilities

• Provide administrative oversight, guidance, and supervision to GPD Liaisons.
• Ensure compliance with VHA directives and program standards.
• Mentor, train, and provide technical assistance to GPD grantees and staff.
• Review grant files, clinical documentation, and extensions for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate screening, referrals, admissions, outreach, and communication with GPD grantees.
