iSphere is seeking a Lead Data Engineer / Snowflake Data Architect for a long-term hybrid role in Houston, TX. You will help shape a modern Snowflake platform for Trading Risk, balancing hands-on development with architectural governance.

The role spans Snowflake architecture, data governance, ingestion, transformation, CI/CD, and cost optimization. Candidates should thrive on complex data challenges in financial domains and be able to communicate across technical and business teams.

Qualifications

Strong hands-on Snowflake experience.
Enterprise data architecture experience.
Data modeling and warehouse design expertise.
Snowflake performance tuning and cost optimization.
RBAC, security groups, authorization, and access controls.
Experience designing ingestion, transformation, and publishing patterns.
Data governance, metadata management, semantic modeling, and ontology concepts.
CI/CD, version control, automated testing, and DataOps.
Experience with AWS services: S3, Glue, Lambda, Athena, EMR, Redshift.
Experience with Trading, ETRM, ERP or other complex transactional data.
Ability to explain architecture decisions to technical and business stakeholders.

Responsibilities

Lead design and implementation of a modern Snowflake platform for Trading Risk.
Drive enterprise data architecture decisions and guard architectural correctness.
Oversee ingestion, transformation, and publishing patterns across the platform.
Ensure governance, security, and cost controls are baked into the architecture.
