Job summary

Barton & Loguidice is seeking a Senior Project Engineer / Managing Engineer to join our Site/Civil design team in Somers, NY. The role targets an 8+ year civil engineering professional eager to lead diverse public and private sector projects while growing technically and professionally.

The team collaborates with landscape architects, planners, transportation and water/wastewater engineers, and other specialists to deliver complete site design solutions—from master planning to final construction

Qualifications

B.S. in Civil Engineering
8+ years of relevant consulting engineering experience
Strong technical experience in site design, grading plans, drainage, and stormwater management
Experience preparing construction plans, details, technical specifications, and bid documents
Strong understanding of site development constructability
PE license

Responsibilities

Serve as project manager and/or client manager for selected projects
Mentor and review work of junior staff; foster a positive team environment
Perform QA/QC reviews of staff design documents, calculations, and reports
Assist with and lead proposal efforts, including scopes, hours, and fee estimates
Prepare and present technical presentations internally and externally at client and professional events
Coordinate with project teams, clients, regulatory and funding agencies, and contractors
Develop projects from concept plans through funding applications to final construction documents
Lead engineer for Municipal Designated Engineer clients near the home office
