Job summary

Gem Studio Preston Royal is hiring Retail Associate/Silversmiths to lead hands-on jewelry-making experiences. You will guide clients through designing and making their own pieces, ensuring a fun, professional, and memorable session.

We welcome enthusiasts of all levels; silversmith training is provided. The role requires strong communication, patience, and teamwork, with openness to weekends and weekday scheduling in a creative, fast-paced studio.

Qualifications

Open availability to work weekends and weekdays.
Strong communication to explain concepts clearly.
Ability to manage multiple tasks and keep sessions on schedule.
Willingness to learn silversmithing and grow with the studio.

Responsibilities

Lead silversmithing sessions for clients, guiding design and creation of pieces.
Provide step-by-step technical guidance during the making process (metalworking, finishing).
Ensure client satisfaction with high-quality, custom pieces.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized studio workspace.
Oversee session timing to keep workshops on track.
Assist with inventory management of tools and materials.
Collaborate with the team for smooth operations and feedback sharing.
Problem-solve to handle session challenges calmly.
Develop new skills in silversmithing and leadership.
