Job summary

New Haven Residential Treatment Center in Saratoga Springs, UT is seeking a dedicated Shift Leader to supervise mentors during evening and weekend shifts for adolescent girls. You will oversee calm, trauma-informed care and maintain a safe, supportive environment on-site.

You will partner with HR to hire and onboard staff, lead weekly training sessions, and conduct formal reviews. This role emphasizes collaboration with therapists and nurses and upholding policy-driven operations.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ with a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license with clean record; Utah background check required.
• Willing to commit minimum 8 months and obtain Food Handler’s Permit before start.
• Knowledge of company policies, hiring/disciplinary procedures, and mentor responsibilities.
• Ability to work with interdisciplinary teams including therapists and nurses.

Responsibilities

• Lead with Purpose: Supervise and support Mentors during shifts and foster a positive team culture.
• Strategic Delegation: Assign responsibilities for smooth shift operations.
• Talent Onboarding: Partner with HR to hire and onboard candidates for long-term roles.
• Thorough Orientation: Guide new hires through shift orientation.
• Continuous Development: Facilitate weekly trainings and coaching to raise performance.
• Performance Oversight: Monitor staff and conduct quarterly reviews.
• Accountability & Discipline: Address issues with structured protocols.
• Clear Communication: Share shift updates during handoffs.
• Team Representation: Advocate for your shift in Treatment Team meetings.
• Safety Leadership: Run quarterly safety drills and model best practices.
