Job summary

Richard's Heating and Air Repair, Inc. in the Tri-Valley area is seeking an experienced Lead Sheet Metal Installer to head our sheet metal fabrication and installation team.

You will lead saddles, coping, flashing, and custom panels, read architectural drawings, supervise layout, cutting, forming, and assembly, and ensure safety and codes compliance on each project. Daily site visits and mentoring are required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical or trade school certification in sheet metal or HVAC preferred.
• Minimum 5+ years of hands-on architectural or HVAC sheet metal experience.
• Strong ability to read blueprints and technical drawings.
• Valid California driver’s license with clean driving record.
• OSHA 10 or 30 certification preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the installation of saddles, coping, flashing, metal panels, and custom sheet metal components.
• Read and interpret architectural and mechanical drawings.
• Oversee layout, cutting, forming, and assembly of sheet metal.
• Ensure all work meets safety standards, building codes, and quality expectations.
• Ability to drive to job sites daily.
• Mentor and supervise sheet metal helpers and apprentices.
• Maintain a clean and organized job site and shop environment.
• Possess excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.

$30.00 - $45.00 per hour (DOE) | Full-Time

Richard's Heating and Air Repair is a locally owned, family-operated HVAC company with over 25 years of trusted service in the Tri-Valley area. We specialize in high-quality residential and light commercial installations, maintenance, and repairs.

We are looking for an experienced Lead Sheet Metal Installer to lead our sheet metal fabrication and installation team.

Compensation & Benefits

• Competitive hourly pay: $30.00 - $45.00 per hour

Physical & Work Environment

• Must wear proper PPE at all times
• Comfortable working in a production shop environment with exposure to noise, sharp materials, and machinery
• Able to stand, bend, and lift for extended periods
