Ultratec Special Effects in Groveland, FL is seeking a hands-on leader to own the service and distribution facility. You will oversee repair work, shipping and receiving across the U.S., and help shape the site’s future while guiding a small team.

The role combines technical troubleshooting with people leadership and operational oversight, including inventory flow, customer communications, and process modernization.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in equipment repair, appliance repair, or a similar technical field.
• Experience in a lead, supervisory, or team coordination role is strongly preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude are required.
• Comfortable with computers, inventory systems, and shipping platforms.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a small team environment.

Ultratec Special Effects is looking for a hands-on leader to take ownership of our Groveland, FL service and distribution facility. This is a unique opportunity to step into a small but critical operation where you will lead repair work, oversee shipping and receiving across the U.S., and help shape the future of the site.

You will work alongside a highly experienced team while bringing fresh energy, structure, and leadership to daily operations. This role is ideal for someone who is equally comfortable troubleshooting equipment, managing workflow, and leading people.

What You’ll Do

Diagnose, repair, and test a wide range of special effects equipment (fog, snow, bubble machines, and more).

Lead day-to-day operations of the Groveland facility, balancing repair work, shipping, and inventory flow.

Coordinate all shipping and receiving activities, ensuring accurate, compliant, and timely movement of equipment across the U.S.
