Apartment Lead Service Technician
A Lead Service Technician is needed at Burns Management. Responsible for all aspects related to apartment maintenance and service, as well as the upkeep of grounds, amenities, building exteriors, leasing office, and parking lots. Support the maintenance and cleanliness of building hallways and common areas, such as the laundry/trash rooms daily.
- Monday-Friday 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM.
- Hourly Payrate is $23.00 to $24.00 an hour, depending upon experience.
- Bonus opportunity of $2,750 annually
- Supplemental on call and overtime pay guaranteed.

Job Responsibilities
- Perform timely, quality work in completing work orders for the property.
- Assist in the supervision and training of the Service Technicians and support them through planning and set up of work orders.
- Coordinate outsourced contractor services and provide proper tools and support to the service team to complete work orders where needed.
- Service community by cooperating with, completing work orders in a timely, unobtrusive manner, and assisting in supervising cleaning staff to ensure that the property is well maintained and cleaned.
- Communicate effectively with the Maintenance Foreman to inform of possible problems, safety concerns, and needs for assistance. Notify the foreman of the need for additional maintenance when applicable.
- Perform corrective and preventative maintenance functions and assist in supervising contract services.
- Work with the Foreman to provide a daily recap of work completed.
- Assist directly in the turnover process to ensure all phases of unit preparation are completed efficiently.
- Support the on-call rotation & overtime as needed.
- Assist in supervising a clean, organized shop, including purchasing, inventory control, tool maintenance, and safety procedures.
- Carry out all duties assigned by supervisors to manage and maintain a multi-family property.
- Perform any other related duties as requested by supervisory staff.
Essential Job Functions
- Must be able to lift and carry at least 50 pounds and climb stairs and ladders easily.
- Support and contribute to the community team.
- Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills.
- Maintain a positive attitude and professionalism throughout the workday.
- Participate in training to comply with laws and regulations.
- Work a flexible schedule.
- Two (2) years’ relevant experience preferred; HVAC or other technical certifications are a plus.
- Maintain a neat, clean, professional appearance.
- Comply with company policies and the employee handbook.
- Ability to diffuse and respond effectively to customer concerns.
- Have reliable transportation and a valid driver’s license.
