Job summary

Whaley Foodservice, LLC is seeking a Service Technician II in Alabama to maintain, service, and repair commercial cooking equipment and refrigeration systems, including grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, walk-in coolers, and freezers.

You will diagnose issues, communicate status for parts and repairs, and complete calls accurately while keeping vehicles and tools in safe condition. On-call duties are required.

Qualifications

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair or refrigeration.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Background check and drug screen required.
• Valid Driver's license and driving record meeting safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair commercial cooking equipment and refrigeration.
• Provide status updates for parts orders and repairs with branch and customer.
• Complete service calls accurately and on time.
• Audit truck stock to ensure required parts are stocked.
• Ensure service vehicle, tools, and uniforms meet safety standards.
• Meet on-call requirements.

Summary

The Service Technician II provides maintenance, service, and repair for commercial cooking equipment and commercial refrigeration i.e. grills, fryers, ovens, ice machines, reach-in and walk-in coolers, freezers, etc. Details

Required Education | Experience

• Three years of experience in commercial kitchen repair and or refrigeration.
• Must be 18 years of age.
• Completion of a satisfactory background check and drug screen is required.
• Valid Driver's license and driving record that aligns with our safety standard.

Skills and Abilities

• Ability to work independently
• Ability to accurately diagnose and troubleshoot: an automotive, electrical, installation, and mechanical background is a plus.
• Journeyman License and or CFESA certification not required but would be a plus.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and soft skills.
• Good driving record
