Job summary

Graybar Electric Company, Inc. is seeking a Lead Warehouse Material Handler in Renton, WA. You will ensure products are directed through the receiving, storage, picking, packing and shipping processes using a Warehouse Management System (WMS).

Leadership responsibilities include directing work in your area and guiding teammates. Expect to work Monday through Friday, 1:00pm–10:00pm with pay starting at $29.00 per hour depending on experience.

Qualifications

• Must have 4+ years experience in warehouse roles.
• Must pass pre-employment physical testing.
• Able to perform physical duties including lifting and climbing.
• No fear of heights; able to lead others.

Responsibilities

• Direct the work in an assigned area and support the Warehouse Manager.
• Operate pallet jacks, forklifts and push carts.
• Receive and store incoming material per WMS process.
• Select, pack and palletize shipments.
• Sort and pack less-than-truckload shipments; perform cycle counts.
• Maintain a clean warehouse and follow all safety procedures.

Our Zone utilizes a Warehouse Management System so an understanding of technology is required to perform this job. Work Shift and Hours

Monday - Friday, 1:00pm - 10:00pm

Compensation Details

The expected pay rate for this position is starting at $29.00 per hour depending on experience.

Responsibilities

• Support the Warehouse Manager by directing the work in an assigned area
• Operate warehouse equipment such as pallet jacks, forklifts and push carts
• Receive and store incoming material in accordance with warehouse management system process
• Select, pack and palletize shipments
• Sort and pack less-than-truckload shipments, conduct cycle counts
• Maintain clean warehouse including following all safety procedures and performing daily safety inspections

What you bring to the table

• No fear of heights
• Ability to lead others
• Perform physical requirements in a warehouse environment including lifting various loads, cutting wire, climbing ladders and staying on the move in various temperatures, depending on the location; must pass pre-employment physical testing
• Experience performing WMS processes and procedures at an advanced level required
• Minimum 18 years of age required
• 4+ years experience preferred
