Job summary

Essex Meadows is seeking a Lead Server to provide exceptional dining service for residents and guests in an upscale environment. You will ensure the Steps of Service are followed and train new hires to maintain high standards of hospitality.

The role requires punctuality, a professional appearance, and clear communication of menu details. This full-time position includes 40 hours per week with weekends and events as needed.

Qualifications

• Ability to interpret and explain menu, refer, or answer questions, coordinate meal service process and understand requests.
• Ability to work in close cooperation with residents, guests, visitors, families, management and peers.
• Ability to understand and follow instructions in English and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Serve meals to patrons following Steps of Service.
• Train new hires on serving patrons.
• Maintain professional appearance, personal hygiene and demeanor.
• Greet guests by name and communicate menu details clearly.
• Ensure safety codes and department regulations are followed.
• Lead wait staff and supervise side work.
