Job summary

Oakmont Management Group, based in Irvine, California, oversees Ivy Living communities and seeks a Lead Server to provide friendly dining service to residents, families, and guests. The role supports a five-star service ethos while promoting independence and comfort in a senior living setting.

The position emphasizes excellent customer care, teamwork, and adherence to safety standards within the dining area and kitchen. Training is provided and commitment to high service quality is expected.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Excellent customer service skills.
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs.
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees, supervisors, physicians, healthcare professionals, residents and their families.
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests including physical and TB Tests.
• Vaccination/testing and PPE may be required per regulatory guidelines.

Responsibilities

• The Lead Server is responsible for serving food in a friendly courteous manner and performing a variety of duties in and around the dining area and kitchen in order to enhance the customers experience in accordance with the companys mission and values.
• Serve residents, family members and visitors in a professional, dignified, efficient and courteous manner.
• Accurately and professionally take residents and guests food and beverage orders and enter them into the POS system.
• Set up and break down bus tables.
• Assure compliance with proper serving techniques and etiquette.
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff, residents and guests.
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with coworkers and other departments.

• Set up and break down bus tables
• Assure compliance with all proper serving techniquesetiquette eg serving from left clearing used dishes between courses etc
• Maintain a safe and secure environment for all staff residents and guests following established safety standards
• Encourage teamwork through cooperative interactions with co workers and other departments

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred but not necessary; we will train the right candidate
• Must be at least 16 years of age with a work permit
• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent customer service skills
• Strong desire to work with the elderly and care for their needs
• Possess written and verbal skills to interact and communicate effectively with employees supervisors physicians healthcare professionals residents and their families
• Must pass a Criminal Background check and Health Screening tests including physical and TB Tests
• For the health and safety of our team members and residents Oakmont Management Group may require team members to vaccinate participate in daily screening surveillance testing and to wear face coverings and other personal protective equipment PPE to prevent the spread of the COVID 19 or other communicable diseases per regulatory guidelines
