Job summary

Olympia Hospitality in Oberlin, Ohio is seeking a Lead Restaurant Server to provide exceptional food and beverage service and support restaurant leadership in the absence of the Restaurant Supervisor.

You will greet guests, take and serve orders, make menu recommendations, anticipate needs, train teammates, and maintain clean stations while upholding responsible alcohol service standards. Equal opportunity employer.

• Six months experience as a Restaurant Server, with legal age to serve alcohol.
• High school diploma or equivalent work experience.

The Lead Restaurant Server safely and efficiently provides excellent customer service with a smile! The Lead Restaurant Server models guest interaction, assisting in training staff to go out of their way to talk to guests and find out what their needs are before they have to ask.

Responsibilities

This role provides exceptional food and beverage service while also supporting restaurant leadership in the absence of the Restaurant Supervisor. Responsibilities include greeting guests, taking and serving food and beverage orders, providing menu recommendations, anticipating guest needs, and ensuring a welcoming dining experience. The position also assists with training and coaching team members, opening and closing duties, maintaining service stations and dining areas, preparing room service and take‑out orders, and following all food, beverage, and responsible alcohol service standards.

Skills Required

• Six months experience as a Restaurant Server, with experience in Guest Services preferred; must be of legal age to serve alcohol; high school diploma and/or equivalent work experience
