Job summary

Discovery Management Group seeks a Lead Server to join our dining team at a Georgia senior living community in Atlanta. The role focuses on proper dining set-up, meal service, and dining room cleanliness, with responsibilities for training new servers and supporting daily operations.

Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or equivalent and about one year of fine dining experience. The position offers full-time, part-time hours and benefits typical of a senior living dining program.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• One year of experience in fine dining preferred.

Responsibilities

• Utilizes proper food handling and food service techniques.
• Takes meal/drink orders and serves meals in a friendly and timely manner.
• Assures resident/guest is satisfied with their meals.
• Maintains knowledge of all specials and general description of all food items and explains to residents or guests.
• Maintains assigned tables and surrounding area in a complete state of cleanliness, appearance and readiness.
• Follows daily, weekly and monthly cleaning schedules.
• Supports the servers in day-to-day dining room operations.
• Assists with orientation and training of new food servers.
• Practices all safety and loss prevention procedures.
• Sets up and cleans the Dining Room while maintaining hospitality and service standards.
• Maintains appearance, cleanliness, and personal hygiene.
• Performs opening and closing checklist criteria.
• Assists in dining room flow, organization and supplies placement.
• Other duties as assigned.

Our community is looking for a Lead Server to join our team.

Lead Server is responsible for proper dining set-up, providing meal and dining services and cleaning of the dining rooms. The Lead Server is also responsible for training new servers, maintaining proper dining room set up, assisting in special events, monitoring appropriate checklists in support of the dining area cleanliness and readiness standards and assisting in table top inventories maintenance.
