Job summary

Walgreens is seeking a Lead Senior Tax Analyst – Sales & Use Tax Compliance to support taxability and compliance for the organization. The role serves as the SME for monthly sales and use tax processes, ensuring accuracy and adherence to applicable tax laws.

The role monitors operations, advises on tax matters, collaborates with internal teams and external vendors, and oversees reconciliations. It may coach staff and contribute to value creation through strong stakeholder partnerships.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher with relevant accounting/tax background.
• Experience with public accounting, corporate tax and/or accounting preferred.

Responsibilities

• Identify tax savings opportunities and communicate findings to management.
• Research new tax laws and participate in conferences to stay current.
• Collaborate on projects to implement tax solutions and drive process improvements.
• Coach and mentor junior analysts and partner with business units on value creation.
