Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc is seeking a Staff Layout Designer to develop and prepare multi-dimensional layouts and provide detailed drawings from schematics and geometry provided by design engineers. You will verify data integrity, communicate across global sites, and lead major block developments while mentoring junior team members.

The role requires expertise in EDA tools, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to adapt to changing priorities in a fast-paced semiconductor environment.

Qualifications

• AS or Bachelor’s in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, or related field with 10 years of semiconductor layout experience.
• Deep working knowledge of EDA tools: Cadence Virtuoso, Synopsys, Calibre.
• Strong debugging and root-cause analysis skills; collaborate with engineering staff.
• Experience developing custom layout, floor-planning, signal- and power-planning methodologies.
• Excellent verbal and written communication; understanding of design rules and quality layouts.
• Strong physical verification analysis and debugging skills.
