Job summary

Turner Construction Company is seeking an experienced estimator to lead Self-Perform Operations (SPO) drywall estimates for Cleveland-area projects. You will prepare quantity takeoffs, analyze data, and communicate bids and scopes of work to project teams.

The role requires 3+ years of related estimating experience, a relevant Bachelor’s degree, and proficiency with estimating tools and MS Office. Travel up to 10–20% is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management or related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 3 years of detailed estimating experience for drywall/constructio n trades.
• Ability to read contracts, drawings and specs to prepare SPO drywall estimates.
• Proficient in MS Office and estimating software; strong numerical skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed Self-Perform Operations (SPO) drywall estimates from drawings and specs.
• Generate labor productivity rates using historical data and project constraints.
• Develop vendor relationships to solicit competitive pricing.
• Assemble drywall bids for Lump Sum, GMP, and Cost Plus contracts.
• Identify design risks and propose solutions with Preconstruction team.
• Analyze schedules for sequencing risk and prepare labor-loaded schedules.
