Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering or related discipline.
  • Professional engineering (PE) license.
  • 7 years of related experience.

Responsibilities

  • Provide expertise evaluating sediment remediation technologies and design riverine, coastal, or port site settings with multiple stakeholders.
  • Understand regulatory frameworks and remediation concepts: contaminant transport, site assessment, sampling/monitoring, cap modeling, dredge approaches, remedial design and construction.
  • Support mathematical/statistical evaluations of environmental data sets.
  • Serve as CDM Smith’s task manager; communicate strategy to client and coordinate with SMEs.
  • Possess in-depth knowledge of CERCLA, GLLA, and related regulatory steps at sediment sites.
  • Act as technical liaison with clients, public, and consultants, explaining complex evaluations to non-experts.
  • Lead staff in preparing and reviewing technically sound documents that comply with regulations.
