Job summary

Jobot is seeking Security Systems Technicians to install, service, troubleshoot, and maintain commercial security, access control, alarm, and video surveillance systems in the Madison, Wisconsin area. Open to developing technicians and seasoned leads who can independently run projects and mentor others.

Your role involves installing hardware, wiring, programming systems, and ensuring compliance with safety standards.

Qualifications

• Commercial security experience preferred.
• Experience with access control, alarm and video surveillance.
• Understanding of low-voltage cabling requirements.
• Ability to read blueprints/technical drawings.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Install, service, maintain, troubleshoot commercial security systems.
• Install/maintain access control hardware and panels.
• Install/maintain alarm system hardware and panels.
• Install/maintain video surveillance equipment and head-end gear.
• Terminations for Cat5/5e/6 and other cabling.
• Perform testing and diagnostics with multimeters.
• Interpret blueprints and system documentation.
• Work with low-voltage power and electrical tests.
• Program access control, alarm, and video systems as needed.
• Diagnose issues and implement solutions.
• Keep accurate records of labor, materials, and test results.
• Communicate with customers, project teams, and technicians.
• Lead projects and provide guidance for Lead level.
