Job summary

K Group Companies is seeking a Field Service Technician II to join our team serving clients in the Minneapolis area. You will lead installation teams, configure and program devices, and deliver customer training at a basic operations level.

The role emphasizes leadership, project oversight, and high-quality service delivery. The position requires hands-on field experience, knowledge of security systems (nurse call, CCTV), and strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years with a construction trade.
• Knowledge of high/low voltage electrical systems.
• Hands-on field experience from previous work experience.
• Basic telecommunication knowledge (TCP/IP, networking, computers, VoIP).
• Ability to read architectural drawings.
• Team management or supervisory experience.
• Experience with service ticketing processes.
• 1+ year of experience with fire, CCTV, intrusion, nurse call systems.

Responsibilities

• Execute Level I installer duties following documentation to uphold standards.
• Manage project/service tickets and provide timely updates.
• Understand project scopes and service expectations; own assigned tasks.
• Lead a team by delegating tasks and fostering collaboration.
• Mentor Level I installers and solicit feedback for improvement.
• Maintain communication with Project Delivery Coordinators, Project Managers, and customers.
• Work with nurse call, card access, and video surveillance systems on diverse projects.
• Pursue professional development; focus on leadership and communication skills.
• Perform Factory Authorized Testing (FAT) before installation and ensure systems meet quality standards.
• Configure and commission systems to deliver reliable, fully operational solutions.
• Take on additional tasks as needed.
