Job summary

JPMorganChase seeks a Lead Software Engineer-Network Infrastructure Development to spearhead SDN solutions for software-defined datacenters and multi-cloud environments. You will design automation platforms, guide AI-assisted practices, and mentor junior engineers within an agile team.

The role emphasizes secure, scalable infrastructure, collaboration with security and product teams, and driving innovative networking solutions across enterprise-grade environments.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in software engineering concepts.
• 5+ years applied experience in network infrastructure development and networking engineering.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability.
• Strong experience developing software with Python, Go, JavaScript, Rust and Shell Scripting in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development, implementation, and delivery of SDN solutions for software-defined datacenters across resilient infrastructure.
• Design, develop, and implement network automation and infrastructure management platforms using Python, Go, JavaScript to improve efficiency.
• Architect and deploy SDN solutions across multi-cloud environments (AWS, Azure, GCP, Private cloud) with monitoring integration.
• Develop and maintain network automation frameworks and IaC with Ansible, Terraform; integrate with devices and monitoring systems.
• Promote enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices, establish validation standards, and encourage reuse of patterns across the team.
• Leverage SDLC tools and AI-assisted development to improve automation value and reliability.
• Drive decisions influencing product design, functionality, and operations.
• Collaborate with network architects, security, product owners, and infra engineers in Agile; perform code reviews and troubleshooting.
• Mentor junior engineers on network automation and IaC; evaluate emerging SDN technologies and DevOps practices.
