Job summary
Cognizant is seeking an experienced SDET/Automation Test Lead to drive quality engineering excellence through scalable test automation, AI-enabled testing, and modern QA strategies. You will collaborate with product owners, developers, and stakeholders to ensure high-quality software delivery.
You will lead QA and test automation, design robust UI/API/end-to-end frameworks, guide teams, enable CI/CD, and apply GenAI-based testing to improve efficiency and outcomes.
Qualifications
- 8+ years in Quality Engineering with SDET or lead experience.
- Designing and scaling automation frameworks using Selenium/Playwright/Katalon.
- Strong API automation with REST/Soap tools.
- Proficient in Java or JavaScript/TypeScript for automation.
- CI/CD integration using Jenkins/Azure DevOps/GitHub Actions.
- Knowledge of Agile SDLC and quality governance.
- Experience leading QA teams and automation initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Lead QA and test automation strategies across engagements.
- Design and maintain UI, API, and end-to-end automation frameworks.
- Provide guidance and code reviews for QA teams.
- Collaborate to define test strategies and quality gates.
- Drive automation across functional, regression, API, and performance testing.
- Leverage AI/GenAI-based testing and self-healing automation.
