Job summary

ACS in Memphis, TN seeks an exceptional scientific leader to drive transformative drug discovery programs focused on pediatric diseases. You will guide proximity-based targeting technologies and chemical biology to advance novel therapeutics with broad clinical impact.

You will design strategy, lead cross-functional teams, supervise CROs, and oversee SAR studies, ADMET coordination, and publication efforts while mentoring a growing team of scientists.

Qualifications

• Fifteen (15) years of relevant work experience with a Bachelor's degree.
• Thirteen (13) years of relevant work experience with a Master's degree.
• Ten (10) years of relevant work experience with a PhD.

Responsibilities

• Set up the chemistry strategy and lead multidisciplinary projects with cross-functional teams.
• Recruit and mentor junior staff and grow the team.
• Lead CROs and external chemistry partners globally.
• Oversee SAR studies and optimize PK/PD/toxicology profiles.
• Support publications and patent activity linked to discoveries.
