Job summary

Brown & Root Industrial Services in Louisiana seeks a Leadman to supervise and guide a crew of craft workers, assisting Foreman and acting as a journeyman on site. Builds, positions and dismantles wooden structures per sketches and company standards.

You will inspect materials, read blueprints, manage tools, and ensure safety compliance while delivering projects on time and within spec.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and related field experience.
• Knowledge of standard practices and procedures in the field is expected.
• Follows instructions and pre-established guidelines with supervision.

Responsibilities

• Examines, selects and gathers materials and tools.
• Examines blue prints and specifications to determine dimensions.
• Inspects base surface for obstructions.
• Loads, transports and unloads material.
• Measures boards, timbers, or plywood and marks cutting lines.
• Saws boards and plywood panels to required sizes.
• Uses carpentry hand tools and power tools as required.
• Assembles scaffolding per project specs.
• Braces forms and anchors bolts for concrete work.
• Sets up scaffolding, ladders, handrails and walkways.
• Rig materials as needed and perform routine maintenance.
