Job summary

Amazon Leo in Austin, Texas is seeking a Senior Network Development Engineer to lead end-to-end integration and validation of satellite communications and ground-network capabilities. You will work across RF, networking, embedded software, cloud services, and test automation to bring new features from lab integration through end-to-end validation, mentoring engineers and driving root-cause analysis.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience in CS/CE/EE.
• 10+ years in satellite/cellular/wireless testing.
• Experience troubleshooting with packet captures, logs, telemetry.
• Proficient with Linux and networking tools (tcpdump, Wireshark, iperf).
• Knowledge of IP networking, TCP/UDP, routing, VLANs, MTU, latency, throughput.
• Experience integrating hardware, software, networking, RF, and test equipment.
• Experience with Python for test automation or data analysis.
• Experience leading investigations across multiple teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end integration and validation of satellite communications features across payload, ground gateways, customer terminals, transport networks, and cloud services.
• Develop and execute test campaigns for functionality, performance, reliability, scale.
• Translate requirements into test plans, use cases, and verification matrices.
• Bring up new test configurations by integrating customer terminals, gateway equipment, payload systems, RF, network, and cloud services.
• Troubleshoot complex system issues using packet captures, logs, telemetry, RF measurements, and test data.
• Automate test execution, data collection, and reporting using Python or similar languages.
• Mentor engineers and drive cross-functional collaboration toward root cause and verification.
