Job summary

Sysco is hiring a Lead Sanitation Associate for the night shift at Freshpoint Pittsburgh - Warrendale. You will lead the floor team in cleaning and sanitizing meat/seafood production areas, manage caustic chemical handling, and ensure regulatory sanitation compliance.

The role requires 3–5 years in sanitation within food manufacturing, strong leadership, and the ability to complete documentation in English. This is a full-time, on-site position with night hours.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• 3–5 years sanitation experience in meat/seafood or food manufacturing.
• Experience leading sanitation teams (5+ years preferred).

Responsibilities

• Lead floor team on Cleaning and Sanitizing Meat or Seafood Company processing area and equipment.
• Lead team on mixing and working with caustic chemicals for cleaning and sanitizing, including diluting concentrated chemicals.
• Inspect the processing area for cleanliness and sanitation; perform bacterial and organic testing to verify cleanliness.
• Lead on-floor sanitation team in completing paperwork and documenting cleaning and sanitizing; ensure regulatory compliance.

This includes daily operational direction of on floor cleaning and sanitation to prepare for routine operations or ongoing operations as assigned. Paperwork is subject to federal regulatory review for noncompliance as well as FSQA program compliance. Education Required:High School Diploma Experience Required:* Three to five years Sanitation work in a Meat or Seafood or other Food Manufacturing facility.* Team communication skills. Experience Preferred:* Five plus years performing cleaning and sanitizing of a federal raw meat or seafood processing plant with at least one year leading a Sanitation team in a meat or seafood production environment. Preference given to those who also have experience with ready-to-eat processing facilities.
