Job summary

Dollar General Corporation in Pikeville, TN is seeking a versatile Cashier/Stocker who can lead in the absence of store leadership. You will assist in plan‑o‑gram execution, customer service excellence, and loss prevention while maintaining merchandise flow and store cleanliness.

You will unload trucks, stock and rotate items, operate the register, and help create a safe, welcoming shopping environment. Previous cashier or supervisory experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to perform basic math calculations (addition, subtraction, percentages).
• Knowledge of cash handling procedures and deposit control.
• Ability to operate cash register and related scanning equipment.
• Ability to read and follow plan‑o‑gram and merchandise presentation guidance.

Responsibilities

• Unload trucks and stock merchandise, rotate and face items on shelves, and build displays.
• Assist customers in locating merchandise and provide exemplary service.
• Maintain store cleanliness, safety, and loss prevention practices.
• Open/close procedures and perform register tasks as needed in leadership capacity.
