Job summary

Sheakley is seeking an experienced Lead Safety Manager to support a long-term Google data center construction project in Lima, Ohio. The role offers a 1099 contractor arrangement with a rate of $50-$55 per hour and weekly pay, requiring 50-60 hours per week, Monday through Saturday.

As the on-site safety leader, you will drive OSHA compliance, oversee excavation, rigging, crane operations, and hot work, while coordinating with trade partners and field supervision to maintain a proactive safety

Qualifications

• OSHA 30 Certification required.
• Minimum 5 Years Of Construction Safety Experience.
• Experience with large-scale construction or industrial projects.
• Strong knowledge of OSHA regulations and safety compliance.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily safety oversight for active construction operations.
• Conduct site inspections, audits, and hazard assessments.
• Monitor OSHA compliance and project-specific safety requirements.
• Support excavation, trenching, and large-diameter pipe installation."
• Oversee rigging, crane, lifting, and equipment movement operations.
• Review hot work permits and safety controls.
• Deliver site orientations and safety trainings.
• Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
• Maintain safety records and compliance logs.
