Qualifications

• 1-year recent (within the last 3 years) experience in a Critical Care, DOU or SDU setting, or approved equivalent within prior 12 months.
• Registered Nurse License (California)
• Basic Life Support (American Heart Association)
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support

Responsibilities

• Lead and guide the health care team; delegate tasks and ensure accountability.
• Develop and contribute to individualized care plans reflecting assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation.
• Document nursing care accurately, legibly, and in a timely manner.
• Monitor patient progress and revise plans as needed to meet outcomes.
• Ensure patient safety through medications, procedures and prevention of infections.
• Provide patient and family education to support understanding and discharge planning.
• Contribute to departmental performance improvement activities and problem resolution.
• Support attendance and collaboration within the Labor-Management Partnership framework.
