Job summary

CHS Career Site is seeking a Registered Nurse (RN) in La Follette, TN, to provide patient-centered care through the nursing process. You will coordinate with physicians, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality outcomes while maintaining a compassionate environment for patients and families.

Responsibilities include assessments, documentation, medication administration, patient education, and participation in emergencies.

Qualifications

• 0–2 years of clinical nursing experience or student rotations in an acute care setting required.
• RN licensure with state or compact licensure.
• Good communication and documentation skills; teamwork and patient safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and deliver patient-centered care in line with the nursing process and organizational policies.
• Document findings accurately and report changes to the care team.
• Provide age-appropriate care and education based on patient needs.
• Administer prescribed medications and monitor for side effects.
• Assist physicians during procedures within documented competency.
• Collaborate to develop and evaluate individualized care plans.
• Respond to medical emergencies and participate in CPR/code team activities.
• Advocate for patients’ rights and ensure understanding of care plans.
• Educate patients and families on conditions, treatment plans, and post-discharge care.
• Maintain infection control and safety standards; monitor equipment as needed.
• Engage in performance improvement initiatives and ongoing professional development.
